Mexican Marinate

A simple, but flavorful marinate for multiple purposes in cooking Mexican food.

Mexican Marinate

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup of red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 1/3 cup of olive oil
  • 1/3 cup of fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 3 tsp of Adobo seasoning
  • 1 tbsp of whole black peppercorns
  • 1 tbsp of oregano
  • 2 tbsp of ground cumin
  • Juice of one lime

Instructions

Mix all ingredients together and allow to sit for an hour.

Quick Notes

Allowing them to sit for an hour will meld the flavors together into one unified mixture.

Variations

This marinate is somewhat on the mild side. If you prefer spicy, add in some chili powder, hot pepper sauce, or red pepper.
